LETTERS OF APOLOGY
Adults are quick to place the burden of societal failures that lead to youth violence on the shoulders of youth. But the truth is that those of us who are responsible for supporting the development of young people have and continue to miss the mark and for that we owe an apology.
On behalf of families, communities and systems that have failed young people, these letters represent heart-felt apologies from Daphne Alston and Craig Powell. Mrs. Alston is the founder of Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters (MOMS) and Craig Powell is the Founder of True Heart Children and Family.
