ENCOURAGING THE SOULS OF YOUTH
THE SPIRITOF TRAUMA
Don’t Die Young is proposing a theory that trauma is primarily a spiritual matter that deeply affects black and brown boys and young men most impacted by violence. Trauma often pulls the plug from the wall of hope which can lead to frustration, discouragement, and anger. When human-beings lose hope, it distorts our view of the world around us which then compromises our connection to our life’s purpose - discovered and undiscovered.
The Spirit of Trauma is a campaign designed to explore the intersection between spiritual health, mental health and youth violence. Trauma attempts to disconnect young people from the creators purpose for their lives and this campaign will offer information and inspiration that will equip youth to better protect themselves. We intend to expose how the trauma of structural violence has lied to black and brown youth about their value to their families, communities and the world.

Trauma attempts to disconnect our thoughts, feelings, and emotions from our source of peace.
