Guiding Principles represent foundational beliefs for Don't Die Young and drives our passion for serving youth with the proper perspectives. There are two (2) guiding principles that guide our efforts in promoting youth development programs, services and messaging.

Principle #1
Created on Purpose, for a Purpose: Don't Die Young celebrates that young people are created by GOD for a special purpose and that they are born inherently good and gifted!
Principle #2
The Environment Matters: Don't Die Young recognizes the role that environmental conditions play in either encouraging or discouraging youth and the importance of effectively engaging systems charged with their wellness.
Don't Die Young is inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who believed in not only encouraging the souls of mankind, he also believed that transforming environmental conditions was important so that the soul will have a chance to survive after it is changed.
